Fortnite Disco Domination LTM: best strategies, how to win at Disco Domination

Fortnite Battle Royale isn't just about the Battle Royale mode. It has Limited Time Modes, or LTMs for short, that change up the game in different ways. Disco Domination has players take ever moving points on the map, but with a twist: They have to dance in front of the capture Disco Ball in order to take the point. This guide goes over the rules for Disco Domination, as well as providing some small tips to get started playing this temporary mode.

Disco Domination Rules

This mode tasks two teams of 50 players each to take over dance mats with disco balls to score points. It's a variant on the classic Domination game mode found in other games, but there are a couple of key differences.

Avoid the central mound with the airbase on it like the plague. This is where the circle is moving into and is also where all the players congregate to farm skill-based tasks for challenges. If you're serious about winning the game, don't go near it. This also plays into how the game itself will resolve as most of the players will be distracted with their kill counts and other skill challenges, so opposition will be minimal.

For those that are looking to win the game though, note that you can't build on the dance floor and that you are vulnerable while dancing. If you have collected lots of materials, you can build outside the dance floor to provide some cover, but having someone spot you while dancing is the best way to avoid any untimely deaths.

The dance floors will always spawn in the same places each match, usually towards the ring where the storm would be heading towards next. You can anticipate this by simply waiting a little bit further in. Each stage also increases the rate at which the score ticks, up to a total of three times. If the game is still going after this point, the respawn rule becomes null and void, meaning death is permanent in the match. It will end eventually, even for the players in the centre racking up their kills.
